Last Night Out

After returning from teaching pastors in Alexandria, it was back to Cairo for house church, a last evening out with the kids, preaching Sunday at FBC Cairo, and getting ready to fly out Monday. Tonight we went to the mall. I promised the kids a visit to Toys R Us. It is Ramadan and stores are closed at odd times. We got to the mall at 4:00 and Toys R Us was closed so we ate at On the Border. Toys R Us finally opened at 8:10 but to watch Matthew Ray, Madison and Meredith it was worth it!

Teaching Egyptian Pastors

The reason for this trip was to teach Egyptian Baptist pastors and talk about a partership in Theological Education. Matt accompanied to Alexandria for the teaching session but had to leave after the first day because of a serious eye infection. I was sad he was not there, but the teaching and relationship with the pastors was fantastic. There is nothing I enjoy more than teaching cross-cultural pastors.

A Date Night with Meredith

Meredith and I have been talking about a date night for months. Just the two of us went out to the Mall, to Maccaroni Grill, and then to have ice cream.

Back to Egypt

When I arrived, the first order of businsess was to open gifts. It is always such an exciting and happy time.

Start of a New School Year

School started Thursday, September 4th. In the evening we had a get together of all the BAT students.

Guest for the Week

Mike and Cathy Rout spent the past few days as our house guests. Mike is pastor of Circle Drive Baptist Church in Colorado Springs. They brought their daughter LeeAnn to enroll in CBU.

School of Christian Ministries Retreat

Today, Aug. 25, we had our preschool School of Christian Ministry work retreat. This is a GREAT group to work with!
